A native of Dallas, Texas, Elizabeth Smith has been playing the piano for 13 years. At the age of 6, she discovered a passion and interest in music, and has been extensive commitment ever since. For the duration of her piano career before college, Elizabeth studied with Mrs. Jennifer Roemer at Keynote Piano Studios. She was a part of several yearly competitions and festivals, including the Dallas Solo Piano Competition, the Turkey Trot Play-a-Lot Festival, the Sonata-Baroque Festival, and the DMTA Achievement Auditions and Theory Examinations.
Elizabeth currently studies with Dr. Catharine Lysinger at Southern Methodist University. She is currently pursuing a B.M. in Piano Performance with a concentration in Pedagogy, as well as a Law and Legal Communications minor. She hopes to complete grad school, and then start a private piano studio of her own one day to share her love of music with others.
