Agueda Mesa was born in Spain in 1997. She started playing the piano when she was 6 years
old and two years after that, she entered the Professional Conservatory of Music “Paco de
Lucía” (Algeciras, Spain). When she was 18 years old, she began her studies of Piano
Performance at the Royal Conservatory of Music “Victoria Eugenia” in Granada (Spain), where
she graduated with honors in 2020.
During her formation as a pianist, she attended many masterclasses of important musicians,
such as Alexander Kandelaki, Nino Kereselidze, Guillermo González and Hui-Ying Liu-
Tawastsjerna. Also, she has performed many times in different auditoriums of Spain as a solo
pianist and as part of the young Spanish orchestras: “Joven Orquesta Lírica”, “Joven Orquesta
Sinfónica de Granada” and “Orquesta de la Universidad de Granada”.
Besides the piano, she studied 4 years of Trombone Performance in the Professional
Conservatory “Ángel Barrios” in Granada, Spain.
Agueda has been teaching piano students since 2016 and she really enjoys it. She thinks it is a
fundamental part of her growth as a musician.
She is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Piano Performance at Southern Methodist
University in the studio of Joaquín Achúcarro.
