Clarinet and Piano Instructor

A native of Northern Illinois, Benjamin Baldwin earned degrees in Music Education and Clarinet Performance from Michigan State University as an Alumni Distinguished Scholar. He has studied piano and clarinet since the age of 10 and began accompanying on piano while still in middle school. An avid church musician, he serves as organist at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and the Ghanaian Community Presbyterian Church, both in Irving. He is pursuing a Master’s degree in Clarinet Performance at Southern Methodist University.

Benjamin teaches all ages and abilities and loves sharing in the fun of learning music while encouraging techniques and practice strategies that foster long-term success. His approach balances ear-training, note-reading, improvisation, and music theory. In his free time, he enjoys reading, exploring nature, and fine Tex-Mex.
